7) ATTENTION UPDATE 12-7-2024. We have carried out some checks in the area and from the information received on the GTA route there are no major critical issues, the only one is on the route from San Lorenzo di Piantonetto-Noasca (Valle Orco) the path after the hamlet To get to Noasca, Borno is not passable as there have been several landslides and the path is unusable in many sections, therefore just before the hamlet of Borno it is advisable to turn right, cross the road bridge and then left along the main road up to Noasca. and those who take the route from Noasca to San Lorenzo will have to do the same. We don’t have any other serious situations at the moment. Apart from single trees that have fallen on some paths, but are passable, in other places on the paths there are gravel deposits or water has eroded the path, but there are no difficulties in passing on these paths.
As regards the snowfall in the past few days there has been a notable increase in temperatures therefore the situation has definitely improved, you will still find snow-covered sections, therefore the use of poles and having adequate trekking shoes is still recommended.
