Ristobar Gran Paradiso – Community of Noasca

The visitors centre of the Gran Paradiso National Park Le forme del paesaggio (The shapes of the landscape) hosts a permanent exhibition that describes the geomorphology of the Park.

The agents that transform the environment, the composition of the rocks and their degradation, the alpine evolution are the food for thought offered to the visitors. Man was not forgotten among the transforming agents, with his extraction work, the use of stone in mountain architecture, the transformation of slopes, the regulation and canalization of the water. The conformation of the landscape is also connected to the habits of the most known animals of the Park like the ibex, the chamois, the marmot and the eagle.

The itinerary follows panels with various levels of in-depth explanations and presents a comic strip itinerary for the youngest. A plastic model helps to understand the composition of the rocks of the park and their degradation. In the adjacent projection room it is possible to assist at the projections of documentaries filmed in the Park. www.pngp.it
