Terme di Valdieri – Refuge Malinvern

Stage characterized by a splendid scenic area with very rich flora passing near the singular structure of the Royal Hunting House, Pian Valasco, Lake Valscura and Malinvern

From the car park, take the road that leads to Piano del Valasco (1763 m). Continue along the mule track, you arrive at an old larch with a severed tip (1996 m), take the path to the right, pass two waterfalls in progression and you reach the Vallone di Valscura and you reach Lago Valscura Inferiore (2274 m). From the lake, follow the mule track to reach Colletto Valscura (2520 m) and begin the descent of the Vallone di Riofreddo, reach Lake Malinvern (2122 m), pass it on the right orographic saddle, face a short counter slope, cross the glacial threshold and the shelter will be in sight. The path descends among large boulders, scree and larches, you reach a stream, you pass on a footbridge and you reach the Malinvern refuge (1836 m)
