The Valli di Lanzo are five valleys included between Valle dell'Orco to the North and Val di Susa to the South. Their name derives from the town of Lanzo Torinese.

In the community of Cornetti at 1,432 m is located the stopover of Balme.

La Gorgia waterfall: right in the centre of Balme, the river Stura plunges down by several dozen meters. The waterfall, named La Gorgia (the gorge), is separated and overlooked by a bridge that replaces the one built at the end of the nineteenth century by the guide Antonio Castagneri.

The Chiesa della SS Trinità (Holy Trinity Church) still in Balme, built in the XVIII century in baroque style.

The Ecomuseo delle Guide Alpine di Balme (Ecomuseum of the Alpine Guides of Balme): preserves a collection of photographs and objects that relate the origin and development of the mountain village, the birth of contraband as a means of survival when the mines ran out and the transformation of the smugglers into alpine guides during the nineteenth century. A new section has been set up lately, that concerns the partisan resistance which was fought on the territory.

The Frazione Cornetti, one of the few villages that have entirely preserved their original appearance. As you stroll through the narrow and very beautiful alleys of the village, you can observe old shop signs and recognize the most ancient houses with underground stables and windows at ground level.
